We are more than our physical body

We are more than our physical body, we are also the consciousness that is aware of our body, emotions, thoughts and behavior. A consciousness that enables us to relate to our existence.

 

By being more aware of our body, mind and emotions, we are given the opportunity to react differently and even experience healing, without that being the goal in itself. We are also given the opportunity to recognize ourselves, who we are at our core.

It affects our way of being in life. At the same time, it gives us a humility for all that we are unconscious and ignorant of.

 

Mindfulness, in the sense of selfawareness training, is an invitation to sense and observe ourselves and use inquiry to remind ourselves of who we are at our core. At the same time, we become more aware of all that we may become for a while during our time of living. We gain greater awareness of our "self," our core of existence, as well as selfawareness.

 

I offer one-to-one sessions and group guidance and talks.

What does it mean to be yourself?

It is a realization that each of us must make. We can come closer to it by being more consciously present.

Being more consciously present with oneself also involves being more consciously present in one's body.

Awareness training & inquiry is also a way to self-love and compassion.

 

It can be challenging to question our existence, because the mind wants to understand, explain and control, and often ends up interfering. In quiet wakefulness it is easier to observe ourselves and our way of being in the world.

In loving acceptance of ourselves, no matter how we may appear, arises an inner peace which is healing in itself.

 

In the beginning it's like learning to ride a bike - a constant practice and attention - until it becomes a natural way of being in life.
